Donald Partyka is a Creative Director specializing in
print design for magazines and books. He has art
directed, redesigned, and launched magazines for a
variety of consumer, trade, and educational
publications. 

Notable projects include the award-winning redesign
and re-branding of Poets&Writers, art direction for
Lingua Franca (National Magazine Award winner), and
the launch of Americas Quarterly, a policy journal
published by the Americas Society/Council of the
Americas. Donald continues to serve as Creative
Director of AQ while maintaining independent projects
in his studio. 

Donald’s work has been recognized with numerous awards
and honors from The Society of Publication Designers,
Folio Magazine, The Society of Illustrators, American
Illustration, and Communication Arts.
 
Donald received his BFA in Graphic Design from Rhode
Island School of Design. He went on to teach graphic
design and typography at Parsons School of Design and
The Pratt Institute, and has lectured on typography
for professional marketing students at NYU.
 
He lives and works in Manhattan.
